The long wait is over for all professional hairdressers in the UK and we can now feast our eyes on the 2010 British Hairdressing Awards finalists as Hairdressers Journal International has announced contenders for the nine regional and six specialist categories.
Launched in 1984, these awards are affectionately known as the ‘Oscars’ of the hairdressing world. The finalists of HJ’s British Hairdressing Awards 2010, sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional, are as follows:

In addition to the 15 regional and specialist categories, the most hotly contested award is for the British Hairdresser of the Year title. The 2010 British Hairdresser of the Year Award nominees were announced earlier in June.
The finalists will now submit a further four images by September 10th, these will go forward to the second round judging and the winner will be announced at a glittering awards dinner presented by the British Hairdressing Awards at the Grosvenor House Hotel, a JW Marriot Hotel, London on Monday 22nd November 2010.
