Hair King Farouk Shami was presented with a Legend Award by the International Salon/Spa Business Network (ISBN) at its 2012 Conference, “Be Inspired,” April 15-17, at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA for his success and innovation in the beauty industry.

Farouk Shami is known for having created environmentally friendly products and ammonia-free hair color long before it was the popular thing to do. However, his journey to become the Hair King wasn’t an easy one. After landing in the United States in 1965 with $71 and a dream, he worked hard and smart to create a billion dollar enterprise. He truly personifies the American dream!

Patrick Neville, ISBN Board Member and chief merchant for BeautyFirst said,

Farouk is not only an industry icon, he’s recognized by the general public as an artist, visionary, entrepreneur, humanitarian, celebrity and political candidate, thanks to his appearances on ‘The Apprentice’ and his run for governor of Texas.

While receiving his award Farouk Shami said,

I’m extremely honored and humbled to receive this award. Twenty-six years ago, doctors told me my career was at its end, but out of necessity came innovation and the beginning of a wonderful journey. I thank ISBN for this incredible recognition.

Many congratulations to Farouk for winning the Legend Award.

I remember meeting Farouk last year during their Be Safe, Be Beautiful conference that was held in Cancun in Mexico. We interviewed him where he talked about his inspiration to start this company and also stressed on why companies should manufacture beauty products that are safe for the environment and hairstylists.

After that we also filmed a fantastic stage show in which many former Miss Universe contestants walked as models for some top hair stylists from around the world like Mickey Svircevic and Rocky Vitelli.

If you are concerned with hair loss or your deep receding hairline, you don’t need to panic. The good news is hair loss is no longer a permanent problem!

With the help of artistic hair simulation you can recreate the appearance of full head of natural looking hair, cover scars and add density to existing hair.

The Hair Simulation Company based in Atlanta, Georgia  have helped many people with their trade mark technique of Artistic Hair Simulation.

This technique is a form of micro tattooing and ideal for clients who have thinning hair, or have a deep receding hairline, or want to get rid of hair transplant scars.  It’s a great way to deal with hair loss while matching your style needs, skin tones and head shape.

To tell more about hair tattooing and hair simulation, Cheryl Rosenblum from The Hair Simulation Company will be seen on ScissorBoy TV on Monday, January 16, 2012.

She will not only talk about how she does hair simulation but she will actually demonstrate the hair simulation process to keep it looking real for you!

Don’t miss this hair simulation episode on ScissorBoy TV on Jan 16. Stay tuned to ScissorBoy.com
